I’ve been remiss in reporting on our last Iron Chef competition. It’s been a couple of months, but Iron Chef ATL Battle Honey is a wrap…and I TIED for first! For the chef that can’t smell or taste, I’d say that was a pretty nice accomplishment.

I had the entrée course and prepared a Cajun Honey Glazed Pork Tenderloin. It was tender and juicy with the perfect hint of sweetness and heat…things I can actually sense.

My competitors all brought their A-game. My co-winner Anna Okula prepared a yummy Twice Baked Sweet Potato dish with grapes, honey, walnuts and goat cheese.

The secret ingredient also inspired everyone to attempt a beverage (some alcoholic and some not). All were a nice addition to the competition.

The next battle is next month. Until then…Allez Cuisine!

And as always…I am the Tasteless Gourmand!
